Third-Party Sponsorship
A student's tuition and fees can be billed directly to a sponsor such as an employer or government agency, permitting the sponsor and student to enter into a 'third-party contract' with Sheridan College. Both the sponsor and student are responsible for completing the necessary steps to confirm the third-party contract by the fee due dates outlined on the Academic Calendar. Students with a confirmed third-party contract will be considered to have arranged to pay the balance of their tuition fees and will be permitted to register for classes.
Your funder needs to submit your sponsorship letter on their branded letter head with an authorized electronic or written (not typed) signature to sponsored@sheridancollege.ca by the fee due date on the fee estimate.
Student Accounts will invoice your funder after the 10th day of classes usually in week 3 or 4 of classes. Student accounts will invoice your funder after the second class for part-time CAPS students.
Student accounts will send your funder the payment options (EFT info) when they invoice them. Sponsors can pay by cheque or EFT.
***If the sponsorship letter is received from the funder before the fee estimate deposit due date a deposit is not required.***
Student Responsibilities
- Ensure the sponsorship letter and supporting documentation are submitted through sponsored@sheridancollege.ca within the prescribed deadlines on the fee estimate.
- Pay charges not covered by the sponsorship contract in full by the tuition fee due dates will be the student’s responsibility.
- Submit any academic updates/transcripts to the sponsor as required; Sheridan will not process updates on the student’s behalf.
- Notify Student Accounts immediately if your sponsorship ends
- Pay the balance owing if Student Accounts is not able to collect payment from the sponsor.
Better Job Ontario (formerly Second Career)
Better Jobs Ontario (formerly Second Career) is an Ontario government initiative that offers skills training and financial support for eligible laid-off workers, helping them find jobs in high-demand occupations in Ontario.
Students approved for funding from Better Jobs must submit a copy of their full agreement/contract sighed to betterjobsontario@sheridancollege.ca.
Note: All full-time students must pay the tuition deposit and arrange to pay the balance of fees to register and remain enrolled in classes. Once you have paid the tuition deposit for the term, the Better Jobs Ontario funding amount will be noted on your student account as an expected payment toward the balance of tuition fees to allow you to add classes when registration begins.
