Fee Deadlines
Note: Students entering a new program are considered NEW Students. RETURNING students refers to students returning to the same program.
As a student, you are responsible for understanding and ensuring payment of all amounts owed to Sheridan by the applicable due dates.
You are expected to regularly review your online Student Account Summary to ensure charges are as expected, payments have been applied to your account and your balance is paid in full.
Payment is to be received by Sheridan on or before the due dates below unless stated otherwise on your Fee Estimate for new students or your Letter of Acceptance.
Note: To hold your seat in the program you have been admitted to, and to avoid a late payment charge, you must allow sufficient time for your payment to be received by Sheridan by the due date.
Online banking payments generally take up to four business days to be applied to your Sheridan student account. If your payment has not been received by Sheridan within the expected time frame, please contact your financial institution.
Tuition deposit
Students are required to pay a non-refundable tuition deposit once per academic year, unless they are starting a new program. Deposit amounts vary based on your student status. For example, if you are a returning student, you are only required to pay a deposit once per academic year and for other terms we ask you to fill out an "intent to register." Refer to “Deposit amounts” below.
Start of Term Guide
If you are a returning student, you are only required to pay a deposit once per academic year and for other terms we ask you to complete the Start of Term Guide in your myStudent Centre account.
Paying your non-refundable tuition deposit confirms and reserves your seat in the program. If you change your mind after paying your non-refundable tuition deposit, you must formally withdraw by the 10th day of the term. If you do not formally withdraw, you remain financially responsible for the full tuition and fees for the term.

Outstanding Balance
If you have an outstanding balance greater than $100 following the applicable payment due date, a financial hold will be put on your account. When your account is on hold, you cannot enrol in further courses at Sheridan or receive official documents such as transcripts or letters of enrolment. To have the hold removed, you must pay your outstanding balance in full. We do not accept payment arrangements for outstanding balances.
If you are paying a non-refundable tuition deposit and have an outstanding balance from a previous term, your payment will be applied against your outstanding balance. Any remaining funds will be applied against your required non-refundable tuition deposit. Your non-refundable tuition deposit must be paid in full to hold your seat in the upcoming term. Check your Student Account Summary regularly so that you are aware of any outstanding balances as soon as possible.
In addition to your account being placed on hold, if your outstanding balance exceeds $100, a late payment charge of $150 will be applied to your student account.
