Presidential search

The search is underway for Sheridan's ninth President and Vice Chancellor.

Sheridan's current President, Dr. Janet Morrison, has announced that she will be stepping down in August to take on the President and Vice-Chancellor role at Memorial University of Newfoundland. We are thankful for her years of inspired leadership, and recognize with deep appreciation her outstanding legacy at Sheridan.

Rajan Sandhu will step into the role of Interim President and Vice Chancellor of Sheridan on June 16, 2025 to ensure a smooth transition and will continue in this role until a new President is appointed.

Presidential search process

Sheridan's Board of Governors is undertaking the search for Dr. Janet Morrison's successor and has formed a Presidential Search Committee to lead this effort.

The Presidential Search Committee’s mandate is to undertake an equitable and rigorous national search process to identify the very best candidates and then make a recommendation to the Board of Governors.

Community input

Members of the community were invited to share their views and feedback regarding the ideal candidate profile and the priorities for Sheridan's incoming President through an online survey.

The survey closed at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
